Dear May 2010 Graduate:
Dr. Michele Howard, Associate Vice Chancellor
for Student Affairs and Dean of Students is conducting a search for
the May 2010 Student Commencement Speakers and Bell Ringers to
participate in the May graduation ceremonies. Each role is a
prestigious honor for the selected individuals.
The Commencement Speaker must represent the
University well relative to good speaking sills, character, and
school spirit. The Bell Ringer is an honorable tradition that
recognizes an outstanding student leader who has demonstrated
exemplary 49er spirit. One speaker and one bell ringer will be
selected for each ceremony. Speaker auditions will be held this
year on Friday, March 19, 2010 beginning at 12:00 p.m.
For you convenience I have created a link to

as well as the
Bell Ringer Application. Please
utilize these links and return your completed applications to
ljay@uncc.edu or King 217 by Friday, March 5,
2010.
Applications are also available through the
Dean of Students office, 217 King Building.
